So much love. I feel you and your heart in this essay. You write from your heart and never disappoint. Thank you, Rob. Please continue with your way with words.
gratitude. It hit the perfect spot within as I, a naive lover of all around and above me… now on the 7th floor of time of my life. Thank you for eloquently setting me on the land and speak of my internal world and vulnerability walking up the next rung of life; so sweet and fragile.
This piece is a treasure Robert. You easily drew me into the weaving of your experience; the sharing from your heart lands so well and warm. Your comments about wordless understanding and intimacy with nature being what you can share to change the world - yes, completely. I know in my heart there are many many many of us in this web of realized interconnection.
Brought tears to my eyes because I feel this way, too. About my intimacy with nature, about my love for this long and fleeting and difficult and joyful life. My favourite time to go walking is in the crepuscular hours as night falls, never with a flashlight in hand. Like you said, the “luminescence” of nature at night, whether under moonlight or starlight, is a magical sight you can only see into when your eyes adjust to the shadows. I keep waiting and hoping to be so lucky to encounter an owl as you did. Thank you for this post.
Thank you Darcie. As a wildlife rehabber I’ve had the privilege to raise or rehabilitate several owls over the years. Great horned owls are my favorite so I was especially excited about seeing her.(she was big)
I’m in this same familiar head space. You expressed it so beautifully. Life is long, time is short. I felt I was right beside you in the night woods. Nature always heals our souls and teaches us. I’m constantly trying to navigate the bittersweetness of this life. Thank you for your insight it helps.
Let all these comments go to your heart. You are touching souls.

This is a different tone and vibe.
More personal. New pathways/new metaphors?
Bring it on.

Really beautiful and relatable. I am not sure how I stumbled across this but I'll look forward to you sharing more.
